" Even though I have shaped tens of thousands of surfboards, I am still learning when it come to surfboard design. One thing I've always said is surfing is all about having fun no matter what your level of ability is and while everyone might not necessarily rip, everyone is capable of having fun. I'm finding out that sometimes you just need to be practical and realistic about your ability and the board you are riding. Don't let the conditions of the surf or poor judgement in the equipment you choose to ride dictate your session in the water. Know your options and change up the board you are riding if you need to because if you do that, you will re-energize your surfing and rekindle the stoke you may have thought you lost. Always remember that the true definition of a high performance surfboard is any board that allows you to surf to your maximum ability in the conditions it was made for....it doesn't make you surf better, it just lets you surf how you were always capable of surfing."
