DESIGN CONCEPT: Quad fins draw a different line on a wave and while this board was originally designed as a quad, I feel a five fin set up is better as it increases the versatility of the design by allowing you to ride it as a tri fin when conditions warrant. It has a little extra width and thickness along with a triple concave in the bottom. As always, the emphasis is on ease of ride with no sacrifice in performance.
" Even though I have shaped ten of thousands of surfboards, I am still a student when it come to surfboard design. I've always said surfing is all about having fun, no matter what your level of ability is and the truth is, while not everyone necessarily rips, everyone is capable of having fun. I'm finding out, by firsthand experience, that sometimes you just need to be practical and realistic about your ability and what you are riding. Don't let the conditions of the surf or poor judgement in the equipment you choose to ride, dictate your session. Know your options and change up the board you are riding if you need to and I promise, if you do that, you will re-energize your surfing and rekindle the stoke you may have thought you lost..."
